At the Faculty of Biology of ZNU was held a meeting for the students of 3-5 courses with the professor of the Department of park and garden establishment and genetics of plants, Candidate of Biological Sciences Hanna Levchuk, who from Dec 2014 (with breaks) was undertaking an internship in Portugal for the project “Erasmus Mundus Partnerships – Electra Project”.

Except the student audience, in the event took part the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Biology, Associate Professor Vira Kopiyka, the Head of the Scientific society of students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Biology, the 2nd year student of specialty “Biology” Natalya Hroma, as well as professors of the Department of Physiology, Immunology and Biochemistry with the course of civil defense and medicine.
Hanna Levchuk shared her impressions and experiences regarding the specifics of the internship in a foreign university, and also spoke about the scientific work, which she had been doing for 14 months. She also provided information on the rules of registration and submission of documents required for study in the European university. First of all students have to choose correctly an education institution, in which there are disciplines that correspondent to the list of subjects in ZNU. During the internship abroad graduate students and young scientists obligatory conduct experimental investigations.
During the conversation, the guest also focused attention on the adaptation to a new ethnic and cultural environment, provided practical guidance on the specific features of the report structure and presentation of the experimental work aspects which students had to represent to the scientific society of European countries, as well as tips concerning the conclusion of cooperation agreements, finding partners for joint implementation of experimental work, etc. Also it was stressed that for students and young scientists there were more opportunities to win the grants for conducting of their researches than for their senior colleagues.
