Prospects of cooperation with universities of Lithuania and Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed in ZNU
October 20, at the invitation of the Pro-rector for Research, Professor Hennadiy Vasyl'chuk, Zaporizhzhya National University was visited by honorary guests: the Head of the Postgraduate Centre of Vilnius University (Lithuania) Taurimas Valys, the head of the Department of Strategic Development of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vilnius Androne Masandukayte, and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zaporizhzhya Dmytro Antonyuk.
In order to discuss the labour issues they met with the representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University: the Pro-rector for Research, Professor Hennadiy Vasyl'chuk, the Head of the Department of International Relations Nataliya Kostenko, and the coordinator of international projects, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation from English Oleksandra Holovko. They discussed possible areas of the four-party collaboration between universities and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Zaporizhzhya and Vilnius. In particular, there was talk of the prospects for conclusion of a cooperation agreement in the field of academic mobility for students and scientists, exchange of experience between the universities and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, etc.
Besides, the guests looked over the territory of the campus of ZNU and visited the opening of the International scientific and practice conference "Challenges and development prospects of the new economy: global, national and regional levels", organized by the academic teaching staff of the Faculty of Economics. They noted the relevance of the topic chosen for scientific consideration and wished fruitful work to the participants.
According to the Pro-rector for Reaserch Hennadiy Vasyl'chuk, ZNU made a very positive impression on the guests. "Thanks to such meetings, the foreign partners can assure of the interest of our University in the mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as of the high level of our academic resources. So this is a step towards expanding the international activities of our University, its appearance at the international level," stressed Hennadiy Vasyl'chuk.
