Famous American scientist Paul Bolton holds psychological training course at Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology
October 24-25, the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology of ZNU took in the main researcher of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Dr. Paul Bolton (Baltimore, USA) and the academic partner of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Dr. Serhiy Bohdanov (Kyiv, Ukraine).
Dr. Bolton held the training on the topic of joint research of the Johns Hopkins University, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Zaporizhzhya National University "Study of effectiveness and implementation of different versions of a mental health intervention among IDPs and АТО Veterans in Ukraine".
The project has various research goals, including the study of the types of mental health problems as a result of an armed conflict in the East of Ukraine, the development of appropriate and accurate tools to assess these problems, as well as the elaboration of appropriate measures of therapy and the assessment of efficiency in the context of our country.
The Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology was visited by specialists from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and region. There were discussed current problems of the study, the potential and actual difficulties in the procedure and many other topical issues.
The coordination was done by the Dean of the faculty, Associate Professor Olha Ponomarenko, and the Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology Olha Ishchuk.
