
At the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology on November 14 was held a training course in English "Preparation to participate in international scientific conferences" in the framework of the work of student's academic problem group "Psychotherapy in the English-speaking world". The academic supervisor of the event was the Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Olha Ishchuk.
The speakers presented information about preparation for writing theses and speeches at international conferences, discussing of the key issues of research, creating of multimedia presentations for report and the peculiarities of communication in English with colleagues during the conferences.
The members of the group suggested collectively writing the theses for participation in the International Congress of Psychology in the following areas:
1. Life changing events; migration, integration, adaptation;
2. Organising effective psychological interventions;
3. Strengthening society’s resilience; prevention and early intervention;
4. Promoting excellence and stimulating labour market participation;
5. Technology and changing behaviour such as Internet interventions, mobile health, brain research.
A topical issue was the first area concerning the events which change life; migration, integration, adaptation (life changing events; migration, integration, adaptation).
The training was pretty lively, intense, and surprisingly scientific. The organizers invited everyone interested to join the student's academic problem group "Psychotherapy in the English-speaking world". Also they announced the next training in December.
