Students of ZNU took part in the creation of Zaporizhzhya regional branch of Ukrainian Student Association
On the basis of Zaporizhzhya National University was held a meeting of the most active students from different universities of our region, during which they adopted a decision on the establishment of Zaporizhzhya regional branch of the Ukrainian Student Association.
A newly created regional branch will work under the all-Ukrainian organization "Ukrainian Student Association". The main purpose of this structure will be defense of students’ rights in Zaporizhzhya region, organization of student self-government at the University, development of joint projects and programs aimed at the development of student self-government of our region, as well as of Ukraine as a whole.
It should be mentioned that Zaporizhzhya regional office of the Ukrainian Student Association was established at the initiative and thanks to the social activity of the Student Councils’ representatives of the universities in Zaporizhzhya region. So, the creation of Zaporizhzhya regional branch of the Ukrainian Student Association was joined by the representatives of Student Councils of Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy, Zaporizhzhya State Medical University, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University and Zaporizhzhya National University.
In this branch our University was represented by the Chairman of the Sports Sector of ZNU Student Council Vladyslav Sakhabutdinov. During the meeting the participants discussed important and current problems of student self-government, in particular, elaboration of mechanisms of scholarships for students and specifics of the formation of ratings for scholarship.
