The event "Digital Active Forum: Internet technology for human, community and city development" in Zaporizhzhya gathered about two hundred participants. It became a meeting place for the representatives of public organizations, active citizens of Zaporizhzhya region, in particular, representatives from Zaporizhzhya National University.
The key topics for discussion were the effective online tools for the promotion of social organization, website creation, idea deadline, search engines, modern concepts of community development, educational opportunities in IT, a series of training events on website promotion, SMM complex and SEO tools for effective implementation.
The event was held as part of the project "Strengthening of IT potential capacity of Zaporizhzhya", which is implemented by the Center for Career Development "Professionals" in the framework of the Ukrainian initiative for strengthening of public trust (UCBI) with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Besides, the discussion "Information technology for development of NGOs (non-governmental organizations) and civil society" aroused great interest among the participants.
The conversation touched upon the process of virtualization, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as how can active citizens use information technology for the society development today and in the long term.
In addition, the participants found out how the proper use of modern internet technology can facilitate the promotion of community or non-profit organization in the virtual, find a new target audience.
