The Center for Intensive Learning of Foreign Languages of ZNU invites students and anyone who wants to improve their level of proficiency in foreign languages to courses on intensive study of English, Polish, Spanish, Turkish and German.
The center offers various services, including: a general English course for students, schoolchildren and everyone (from level A1, etc.), a Spanish course (elementary level), Polish (level A1-B1), which provides for 240 academic hours from September to May. Before the start of classes, students are tested and according to its results they fall into the group according to their level. Classes are held in the evening from 6pm to 8.40pm in groups of 10 people. Duration of training is from 2.5 to 3.5 months.
The center has been operating since 1996 year, and during this time a large number of students and trainees have been trained here. The professors of the Center have considerable experience; new effective methods of intensive learning of foreign languages have been developed.
In addition, the university is actively introducing the concept of learning foreign languages at different levels - from professors to students. It should be noted that the priority of the Center is the intensive study of foreign languages with the prospect of passing examinations for certificates of international standard. In addition, the courses of the center provide a good opportunity to update their knowledge of a foreign language if there has not been a conversational practice for a long time.
During their studies, students work on grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, writing, and also work in pairs, groups, simulate situations and practice conversational English. Varvara Petrosova, director of the Center for Intensive Learning of Foreign Languages, emphasized that the final result always depends on the students’ motivation, conscientious attitude to classes and the fulfillment of all tasks.
Remember that after completing the courses and successfully passing the test, students will receive the appropriate certificates and can further master the language at other levels.
We also want to mention that in the Center for the Intensive Learningof Foreign Languages, the recruitment for preparatory courses in English for admission to the magistracy is open (in the form of a single entrance examination in a foreign language (EIT)). The cost of training is: for 80 academic hours - 1500 UAH., or 60 academic hours - 1200 UAH. Training term: February-May (June), 2019. Note that the mode of training is consistent with each group separately, and the number of students in a group is from 10 people. The program of the course provides for the study of grammar, vocabulary and strategies for working with texts.
