Zaporizhzhya National University became one of the organizers of the International conference concerning patriotic education
To the 70 anniversary of Zaporizhzhya region in the building of Zaporizhzhya regional council II International scientifically-practical conference concerning patriotic education of youth « Gains of generations is a treasury of our days» has been lead.
The purpose of the given action became coverage of a problem of patriotic consciousness. At this conference all present had an opportunity to get acquainted and estimate the project of Zaporizhzhya regional conception of patriotic education of Ukrainian people. This conception was prepared by experts of the Sociology and Management Department of ZNU. The innovation of the conception consists in attempt to present concept "patriotism" without the certain stereotypes. The Dean of the Sociology and Management Department and the main critic of the conception Maksim Lepsky has designated, while the preparation of the given document experts tried to depart from the characteristic of patriotism as feeling. It can be ecological, economic, legal, family, labour and another. Foreign visitors have shared secrets of the international experience in sphere of patriotic education with participants of the conference. Among them were: director of assistance Fund to military schools by A.Jordana (Russia) Vladimir Korolenko, Cand.Phil.Sci., the teacher of Plovdyvsky university by P.Filendarsky (Bulgaria) Lyudmyla Minkova, the journalist (USA) Khristina Demkovych, the trainee of the Ukrainian-Canadian project "Ukraine-Canada" (Canada) Andriy Levayde, the priest of Mykhaylivska dioceses (Slovakia) Myroslav Dzhugan. Plenary session of the conference was solemnly opened by the head of Zaporizhzhya regional administration Olexandr Starukh. In the speech he has presented his own understanding of patriotism which begins from human memory and should serve the native state.
ZNU is twice one of the organizers of this conference; so the representatives of our university headed three from eight sections. Irina Khrystych communicated with participants about «Historical and cultural education and regional geography in aspect of patriotic education of youth». The assistant to the dean of the Journalistic department Victor Kostyuk considered «Influence of mass culture and mass-media on formation of the young man consciousness». And the Dean of the Law department Tetyana Kolomoets’ has stopped on the theme «Legal education, determinalization and social work ». There also other sections worked.
We express gratitude to organizers of the conference who conduct such essential search of reference points for modern education on the basis of national spirituality and consciousness which are beyond time.
