In Zaporizhzhya National University all conditions are created for young scientists to realize their potential. But scientific career of students in many cases depends on their own initiative. Masters of the Philological Department Svitlana Syrytsya and Svitlana Zhulidova were guided by this principle, sending the works on the selection round of the international scientific conference «The Ukrainian philology: schools, figures, problems» which has been dated to the 160 anniversary of the establishment of the Ukrainian Philology Department in Lviv National University by Ivan Franko.
About a high level of the future philologists’ preparation tells the fact, that the organizing committee has highly estimated the works of both students and has suggested them to take part in the conference. Among participants of the conference there were skilled scientists from Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Austria, and also post-graduate students from leading universities of our country. There were also such known linguists, as Taras Salyga, Vitaly Donchyk, Anatoliy Tkachenko and others. During the work of 17 scientific sections it has been considered various aspects of modern philology. Many reports have been devoted to comparative science and to research of a life and creativity of many wrongly forgotten native public and cultural figures. Reports of ours students have caused huge interest. Girls also have accepted active participation in discussion about correlation of mass character and elitism in the modern Ukrainian literature. Girls could get experience, communicate with known scientists and they hope to establish scientific contacts with Lviv students.
