Representatives of the German delegation of the municipality of Magdeburg took part in the excursion by the campus and got acquainted with the energy saving system of ZNU
On March 29, within the framework of cooperation between the cities of Zaporizhzhia, Magdeburg and Oberhausen in the field of energy efficiency, a delegation of representatives of the organization “Municipal partnership of cities of Ukraine and Germany” and Zaporizhzhia city council visited ZNU. There was organized a tour of the introduction to the system of energy efficiency and energy-saving technologies in the university.
Thus, among the representatives of the delegation were Viktor Bondarenko, Head of the Executive Committee of Zaporizhzhia City Council, representative of the organization “Municipal partnership of cities of Ukraine and Germany” Ute Baldemann, who works on cooperation in energy efficiency and energy management, Chief Specialist of the Executive Committee of Zaporizhzhia City Council Tetiana Stepanenko.
The moderator of the meeting was Volodymyr Volkov, a professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Management of Organizations and Logistics and the Head of the Problem Research Laboratory "Earth Sciences". The meeting was also attended by Oleksandr Rylskyi, professor, Head of the Department of General and Applied Ecology and Zoology, Oleh Bashtannyk, Leading Specialist of the Laboratory “Earth Sciences”.
This meeting has provided familiarity with the energy system of our university, exchange of practical experience on energy efficiency and energy management, introduction of energy efficient approaches and technologies, and included presentation of scientific and practical developments. The guests were shown Academic Building 6, where all the windows have already been replaced with metal-plastic, sports complex, heat-insulating panels, the university own workshop for the production of metal-plastic windows, the audiences in which complex repairs are being made (replacement, windows,
radiators, ceilings, floors, lighting systems, thermal insulation), etc.
The subject of discussion during the meeting was primarily the practical aspects of improving energy efficiency: energy efficient materials, technologies, equipment, electricity metering devices, alternative energy sources, etc. According to Volodymyr Petrovych, the use of energy efficient technologies is a very relevant topic today. In particular, he noted the achievements and an integrated approach to solving the problems of energy saving and energy efficiency in our university. So, ZNU has been working in this direction quite effectively over the past 9 years and can share its practical and scientific developments in this area.
The meeting
participants also discussed energy management issues, as well as cooperation with Otto-Von-Guericke University (Magdeburg city) and HS Magdeburg.
In addition, the delegation members were shown the practical results of the work of the laboratory “Earth Sciences” in the field of energy conservation. According to Volodymyr Volkov, the presented materials are of an applied nature, and the developers of these projects are open for communication and cooperation. In addition, some of the developments are ready for implementation. He also noted that the research laboratory of ZNU, which deals with the problems of energy saving, works not only for the university; its achievements can be used at other levels.
At the end of this meeting, the delegation members expressed interest in the effective work of the university in the field of energy conservation and in further cooperation with our university in the field of energy conservation.
