On May 8 and 9, the Ukrainian people celebrate the time of remembrance and reconciliation for those who lost their lives during the Second World and the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II!
These holidays are a time of sorrow and joy, courage and immortality, a symbol of the greatness of the people's feat. In these May days, Ukrainians remember those terrible events that have become the global tragedy of mankind. And at the same time they recall the enormous role of unity, patriotism and unanimity of the people, their outstanding contribution to the victory of the anti-Hitler coalition in World War II and express respect for all fighters against Nazism.
May 9 - Victory Day over Nazism in World War II - will forever remain in the history of our people a symbol of the heroic past, the greatness of the spirit and courage of people who have gone through the fiery roads of a cruel war. We thank our veterans who carried through their hard years love for their country and a desire to see it independent and prosperous.
Those old lessons of history teach us to appreciate the cloudless sky and the smile of a child, a happy family and a united Ukraine! We are especially acutely aware of the need for unity, reconciliation in difficult times and upholding the right to independence, which require mutual understanding, trust and great dedication.
We sincerely wish you, dear veterans, good health and longevity. Let goodness, harmony and love reign in every family, and our state will receive the desired peace and victory!
