There was an international exam PTE which determines the level of knowledge of English on the basis of Faculty of Foreign Philology
On May 18, the International Examination of PTE (Pearson Test of English), which is recognized by employers and educational institutions in many countries, was held on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of Zaporizhzhia National University. This test, confirming the level of knowledge of English, is indefinite. It means that after passing it once, a person forever confirms their level of proficiency in the language.
The event was held thanks to the fruitful long-term cooperation of the team of the Faculty of Foreign Philology (dean and associate professor Halyna Moroshkina) with the “Euro book” linguistic center (director and associate professor Svitlana Nikonenko). About 50 people aged from 10 to 60 years passed the exam, confirming their level of proficiency from basic to advanced (C2). The increase in the number of people who passed the exam was influenced by the adoption of the law on the admission of an international certificate as a grade SFA score of 12 in the 9th and 11th grades.
For the second year, experts from the Faculty of Foreign Philology such as Associate Professor Iryna Andrieieva and Associate Professor Kateryna Vasylyna, as well as leading professors of the “Euro book” linguistic center - Oksana Kholod and Kateryna Beliakova were responsible for the oral part of the exam.
Representatives of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of ZNU hope for further fruitful cooperation with the “Euro book” linguistic center and an interesting experience in the field of popularization of the English among various segments of the population.
