
On June 11, Stiven Fenh, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alla Yesypenko visited ZNU. They were accompanied by Vice-Rector for scientific and pedagogical work and technical education at ZNU Viktor Banakh.
Honored guests met with representatives of the administration of the HEI. Zaporizhzhia National University during the working conference was represented by First Vice-Rector Oleksandr Bondar, Vice-Rector for scientific work Hennadii Vasylchuk, Vice-Rector for scientific-pedagogical work and technical education Viktor Banakh, Director of the Confucius School of ZNU from the Ukrainian side Volodymyr Volkov, professors of this school from China side Henh Lipinh, the staff of the school namely Olha Tupakhina and Iryna Velyka, the acting head of the research department Oksana Bolduieva and the head of the office of international affairs Vitalina Mykytenko.
During the meeting, the sides discussed possible areas of cooperation between our HEI and representatives of the People’s Republic of China. In particular, Stiven Fenh, said that he is now on an international trip, whose goal is to develop new technologies, create innovation centers, build mutually beneficial cooperation between representatives of different countries.
ZNU interested guests both with its scientific potential and the fact that they attach considerable importance to the development of relations with representatives of China. In particular, their attention was focused on the fact that the only Confucius School in Zaporizhzhia region operates on the basis of ZNU.
Also during the event, the participants considered the possibility of internships and training of Ukrainian students in China, cooperation of the Ukrainian HEIs with Chinese economic structures, and etc.
First Vice Rector Oleksandr Bondar thanked the guests for the interesting and relevant proposal. He promised that soon the leadership of ZNU will provide them with proposals on possible directions for further cooperation with the Chinese side.
At the end of the meeting, he presented Alla Yesypenko the “Anniversary Book of ZNU” - the chronicle of the university, which talks about the formation and development of ZNU, about its achievements and victories. All participants of the meeting made a general photo for memory.
