Engineering Institute participates in the All-Ukrainian project “Partnership for Modernization: Energy Efficiency in Hospitals”
The project “Partnership for Modernization: Energy Efficiency in Hospitals” is being implemented in Ukraine with the support of the German company «Deutsthe Gesellschait fur Intemationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH».
As part of this project, on June 25, 2019, guests from the cities of Sumy and Chernihiv visited the Engineering Institute of Zaporizhzhia National University. The guests of our city were accompanied by the head of the energy management department of the Economic Development Department of Zaporizhzhia City Council, Viktor Bondarenko.
During his visit, the guests - energy managers of the hospitals, familiarized themselves with the laboratories of the Engineering Institute of ZNU, namely the energy efficiency laboratory and the hydropower, hydraulics and hydraulic engineering laboratory. The guests were met by the Director of Engineering Institute Hennadii Kolomoiets, the Chairman of the Attestation Commission for the professional attestation of persons who intend to carry out activities for the certification of energy efficiency and inspection of engineering systems Serhii Ilin, Associate Professor of the Department of Thermal Power and Hydropower Oleksandr Osaul, and Head of the Energy Efficiency Laboratory Tetiana Chernenko.
While speaking about the laboratory of energy efficiency, Tetiana Chernenko noted that the main tasks and functions of the laboratory are the development and implementation 
of advanced energy-saving technologies, making proposals for their implementation in enterprises and organizations of the region. Trainings are taking place on the basis of this laboratory not only for specialists of this industry, but also for representatives of Housing cooperative of Zaporizhzhia; meetings with school youth are held as part of the implementation of STEM education, etc.
Serhii Ilin, told the guests about the existing laboratory stands "Determination of efficiency" Solar collector - SINTEK" and "Determination of the work of internal heating networks - HERZ ".
Installing solar panels today is becoming increasingly relevant. One of the options for economical water heating was presented to the guests in the work of the solar collector from “SINTEK”. Both stands aroused great interest of the guests.
Moreover, Oleksandr Osaul told the guests about the laboratory of hydropower, hydraulics and hydraulic structures. He told the program participants also about the problems of local wastewater treatment for reuse in production and offered the guests the option of using wastewater recycling.
We hope that the meeting was useful for all project participants and for closer further cooperation.
