Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU, Zaporizhzhia National University) became a member of the European Journalism Training Association for a year. This decision was made by the EJTA Supervisory Board at its May meeting.
This is an important event for our higher education institution. Such cooperation opens many valuable opportunities for development of research and teaching staff as well as students of the Faculty of Journalism:
- participation in fact-checking and other media programs of the EJTA;
- preparation of joint grant applications;
- conducting guest lectures and master classes from European professors for undergraduates and postgraduates – Master’s and PhD students.
Therefore, such membership in the international scientific community will contribute to strengthening of the scientific and academic potential of the faculty. It will allow ZNU, despite all the difficulties of martial law, to train specialists of the European level. It is worth mentioning that together with Zaporizhzhia National University, nine other Ukrainian partner universities of the Erasmus+ DESTIN consortium and members of the Ukrainian Forum of Media and Journalism Teachers joined EJTA within joint membership.
