Partners of the "Erasmus+ KA2 MultiEd" consortium discussed the results of the project implementation
On November 3, 2023, a meeting of managers and coordinators of the international project "Erasmus+ KA2 MultiEd" "Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration” took place. Its purpose was to discuss the results of the project, which is finishing on November 14, 2023.
Among the participants of the event were such universities as the University of Tartu (Estonia), Aston University (Great Britain), 8 Ukrainian universities, members of the All-Ukrainian Association of English Language Teachers "TESOL - Ukraine". Svitlana Zapolskykh, head of the Chair of Theory and Practice of English Translation, took part in the meeting from the Zaporizhzhia National University.
The partners discussed in detail the results of project implementation for each of the work packages, achievements and challenges. In particular, special attention was paid to the specifics of writing technical, financial and intellectual reports. All partners made incredible efforts to fulfill the planned tasks. Two Ukrainian partners faced special difficulties: Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages of the state institution of higher education "Donbas State Pedagogical University" and Mykolaiv National University named after V. O. Sukhomlynskyi. After the evacuation, the entire infrastructure of the institute in Bakhmut was destroyed due to massive rocket fire and bombing of the city, and the equipment at the Mykolaiv University cannot be restored either. The partnership received approval for the additional purchase of equipment, taking into account the impossibility of implementing events without it. Now, these problems have been solved and the work is being completed according to the adapted plan.
The consortium plans to meet several times to finalize and agree on the reports.
