On 8 May 4-8, 2026, representatives of Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU) – Head of the Department of English Philology and Linguodidactics Natalia Nadtochii, Associate Professor of the Department of Pre-school and Primary Education Yulia Zubtsova, and Associate Professor of the Department of General Mathematics Marina Hrechnieva – took part in a study visit to the University of Primorska (Koper, Slovenia).
This event was dedicated to the development of digital competences, updating educational programmes and integrating modern approaches to teaching in educational institutions. The programme also included meetings with colleagues from the University of Primorska and other European partners, during which the prospects for further international cooperation, the development of joint educational initiatives and the implementation of innovative approaches in higher education were discussed.
The programme for the study visit to the University of Primorska (Koper, Slovenia) as part of the international Erasmus+ BEAUCOUP (Boosting Digital Excellence and Aptitude of Universities in the Countries of East Partnership) project was quite intensive. It covered a range of topical issues, including: the digitalisation o
f education and the development of educators’ digital competences; the modernisation of curricula and the development of new courses; the implementation of blended, inclusive and flexible learning; the use of e-learning platforms, in particular Moodle; and the development of cooperation between universities, schools and public institutions. Participants had the opportunity to take part in lectures, practical workshops and discussions, as well as to visit educational institutions in Slovenia, including kindergartens and schools, where they familiarised themselves with practices for building digital skills and developing computational thinking in children. Particular attention was paid to ensuring the quality of educational courses and the integration of digital technologies into the learning process.
The press service has already reported on the ZNU team’s first study visit to Estonia as part of the BEAUCOUP project, when it began, and how ZNU lecturers met with their colleagues from the Erasmus+ KA2 ‘BEAUCOUP’ project. The implementation of two new Erasmus+ KA2 projects for 2023 has begun.
