On February, 19-21th Cand.Econ.Sci., the senior lecturer of the Department of the economic theory and business of ZNU Nadija Shmygol has taken part in the training «Teaching of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) at universities: what to begin with?» (Kyiv).
It was the first training for teachers of social work and economic faculties from 22 high schools of 13 regions of Ukraine. Its initiator was the Center of Development of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Within the limits of the training on February, 19th, 2009 the round table discussion «Teaching CSR at universities a step to the system» at participation of Dmytro Kulbaba, the adviser of the Minister of Education and science of Ukraine was lead. By the results of the round table discussion decisions concerning the reference to the Ministry of Education and science with the offer of partnership in carrying out the International summer school for teachers in May 2009 in Odessa, calling the state high schools to the teaching CSR, creation of Fund of researches on CSR were made. Within the limits of the training teachers heard the lectures concerning history of occurrence and development of CSR, about the international and national initiatives with CSR, mitigation of changes of the climate and the role of high schools in the process of energy-saving, they were presented the action WWF «Hour of the Earth» and practices of CSR in well-known companies: Kyivstar, Philips-Uraine etc., which made the big impression upon all participants.
