The third year the Day of Europe at city level is successively celebrated at Zaporizhzhya National University. This time the program of the holiday was not less sated than the last years. On May, 16th ZNU guests had an opportunity to see the bright concert program, to visit presentations of the countries - members of EU, to visit book exhibition from ZNU Scientific library, photo-exhibition "Warsaw from height of eagle flight" and round table discussion concerning the European integration.
«The European small town» was visited by the head of Zaporizhzhya regional state administration Olexandr Starukh and the secretary of Zaporizhzhya town Rada Jury Kaptyukh. In opinion of the head of the region, a special role in introduction of new, high standards of life, adaptation of the legislation, norms and practics to the European requirements belongs to youth:
The head of region also assessed educational work of ZNU management which provides functioning the European small town third year successively.
Rector of ZNU Sergy Tymchenko emphasized, that the management of university makes all efforts that students can have the opportunity to receive qualitative education and improved knowledge and skills owing to cooperation ZNU with high schools of other countries.
All participants prepared for a holiday very carefully. In fifteen tents, each of which represented separate faculty, students led quizzes, awarded with prizes and distributed presentation materials.
At the holiday exhibits from the different countries of the world which fascinated the originality and beauty were presented.
The majority of faculties treated visitors with national foods and drinks of those countries which they represented.
Youth could discuss various questions during a round table discussion «Europe with eyes of youth». Igor Fillypenko, the head of committee on affairs of family and youth of Zaporizhzhya town Rada and Lyudmila Nesterenko, the head of study department of ZNU took part in the discussion. And guests of the holiday visited photo-exhibition «Warsaw from height of eagle flight» at participation of the Consul of Republic Poland in Kharkiv.
