During May holidays teachers and students of the Faculties of Philology and Journalism visited the Center of folk art «Petrykivka» in the village of the same name in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Under the initiative of Valentyna Kravchenko, the associate professor of Ukrainian literature department at the Faculty of Philology of ZNU, Zaporizhzhya inhabitants touched national relics which, apparently, became the same card of Ukraine as well as opyshnyanska ceramics.
During the excursion representatives of Zaporizhzhya National learned about the history of well-known petrykivska paintings: from its origin and up to the modern condition, they also took part in painting of own small "masterpieces" and got presents. Considering all originality of paintings, the gifts, will possibly remind about cosy village and those unusual people, which create to give people pleasure.
