On May 12th the Philological Department there was organized the celebration of the Mother's Day, which usually is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. This year it was the double holiday - together with the Victory day.
The first Mother's Day was celebrated in 1928 in Canada by the Ukrainian Diaspora’s The Union of Ukrainian Women. Beginning from that time the holiday was spread to Ukraine.
