The series of the celebrative events had been organized during the last week, which was announced as the History Department's Week. The 39th birthday celebration was among them too.
Four thousand specialists in history sciences have been prepared during these years. There are 6 doctors of historic sciences, professors and 40 candidates of historic sciences, associate professors work at the department. 
The department's birthday was celebrated by the organizing the charity events. The students gathered donations and went to the Zaporizhzhya orphanages to help them to buy the materials for the child art studio.
Another direction of the department's work is science. Two research laboratories of archeology and History of the South of Ukraine operate at the department. 
At the celebration event all the active students and stuff were honored with certificates and special prizes for their achievements and the contribution into department progress. The concert followed the celebration.
